Mike’s first international trip occurred when he was two years old and flew from Seoul to Chicago to meet his adoptive parents and join five older brothers and sisters on their Ohio dairy farm. Little did he know that as he grew older, he would develop a passion for travel and for the aircraft that take him to cities around the globe.
I’ve known Mike almost since he arrived in the U.S. His parents are my sister and brother-in-law, which makes him my nephew. Now, since taking his second international flight some time ago (and many years after his first), he has traveled to 30 countries and is still on the go.
"Traveling is the world's greatest vocation,” Mike says, “because with each new country, culture and community I discover, the real reward is what I discover about myself, my abilities and my curiosities. Because after visiting 30 countries, I never fail to uncover something I haven't seen before, and I always anticipate what the next journey will reveal."
